Outdoor Farmer’s Markets in Rhode Island

 

The farmer’s markets may keep running towards the winter, but they’re relegated to the indoors. But now that the weather is turning and summer is nearly upon us, we can enjoy farmer’s markets the way they were meant to be enjoyed: outdoors.  Read on to learn about some of the best outdoor farmer’s markets in Rhode Island!

Starting on July 7th, there will be a farmer’s market at Neutaconkanut Hill in Providence. The farmer’s market will be on Mondays, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The farmer’s market will be at 700 Plainfield Street, right across the street from Neutaconkanut Park.

Starting on July 1st, there will be a market in the parking lot of the Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket, at 450 Clinton Street. The market is open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesdays.

Also starting on July 1st, and also on Tuesdays, there will be a farmer’s market at Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence. This market is open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and will have both fresh food and a number of local food trucks.

Celebrating their 11th season, the Broad Street Farmer’s Market opens July 5th. It is held on Saturdays, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at 807 Broad Street.

Outdoor Farmer’s Markets in Rhode Island

Starting May 29th, the Armory farmer’s market will be held at Dexter Field on Parade Street in Providence. The farmer’s market is open from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, or to sundown.

Starting on July 3rd, the West Warwick farmer’s market will be held at the Thundermist Health Center at 186 Providence Street, right down the street from Riverpoint Park. They are open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursdays.

Already underway is the South Kingstown Farmer’s Market.  They are open on Saturdays at East Farm at URI from 8:30-12.  They are also open on Tuesdays from 2pm-6pm at Mariner Park in Wakefield.

The Coastal Growers Market is open on Saturdays at Casey Farm from 9-12 and will be adding Tuesday nights from 3:30-6:30 in June.
