Books Are Wings
Reading is perhaps the most fundamental part of a young child’s education. Books Are Wings, a Providence-based non-profit organization, is dedicated to increasing and strengthening childhood literacy in Rhode Island.
In addition to collecting and distributing gently-used book, Books Are Wings also has events to support both parents and students. Their doors are open to all, but Books Are Wings may be particularly helpful for students who are below their grade’s reading level.
Books Are Wings is located in the HopeArtisteVillage at 1005 Main Street in Pawtucket. To learn more about the organization, including upcoming events and a full list of drop-off sites for gently used books, visit their website at booksarewings.org.
