After a successful weekend hosting friends and family for dinner at Sarto, the restaurant is ready to open its doors for dinner service beginning Tuesday, October 30th, and lunch on Monday, November 5th. The neighborhood-driven restaurant in the heart of downtown Providence is a Rhode Island-inspired Osteria & Salumeria, offering a creative and modern take on rustic Italian fare. Sarto celebrates the history and bounty of the Ocean State, exploring regional Italian cuisine as part of the fabric of Rhode Island – its farmers, purveyors, and artisans.
Over the weekend, guests enjoyed dishes by Chef Robert Andreozzi available on the menu including a Gem Salad with smoked bluefish buttermilk vinaigrette and puffed grains, as well as Ravioli Doppio with braised oxtail, kabocha squash and rosemary granola. For an entree selection, many chose theSardinian Seafood Stew with fregola and tomato.
Dinner is available Tuesday-Saturday starting at 5PM. The full service Caffe for gracious and fast breakfast will be available Monday-Friday starting at 7:30AM. Lunch will be availableMonday-Friday starting at 11:30AM (Caffe and lunch to begin on Monday, November 5th.) The Grand Opening Celebration has been set for Thursday, November 8th at 5PM.
