A Christmas Carol in Rhode Island…A Tradition!
If there is one play that really defines Christmas, it’s Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol. There are five different performances of A Christmas Carol happening throughout Rhode Island this Christmas season, all with their own benefits.
The Trinity Repertory Company has been providing Providence with fantastic performances since the early sixties, and this December will be no different. Through December 31st, A Christmas Carol will be performed at the theater, located at 201 Washington Street in Providence. Tickets start at $25. For more information, go to www.trinityrep.com.
The Stadium Theater Performance Art Center, A Christmas Carol will be performed on weekends until December 14th. Tickets can be bought beforehand, or picked up for $21 at the door. The Stadium Theatre is located at 28 Monument Square in Woonsocket. To learn more, go to www.stadiumtheatre.com.
The Artist’s Exchange will also be performing A Christmas Carol through December the 22nd. It will be performed at the Black Box Theater through the 16th, and in Park Theater for the 20th through the 22nd. Visit their site here!
The Courthouse Center for the Arts, located at 3481 Kingstown Road in South Kingstown, will be hosting a unique performance of the famous play. Tickets start at $15. It will feature the creations of the famous Big Nazo Lab out of Providence, and will be a slightly more interactive experience than usual. To learn more, go to www.courthousearts.org.
And finally, the Bristol Theater Company will be performing a musical version of A Christmas Carol from December 18th through December 21st. The theater is located at 235 High Street in Bristol.
