Guess Who Rocked RI @ Bally’s Twin River

No, it’s not a question, it’s a fact! The Guess Who, the legendary Canadian band rocked the packed theater at Bally’s Twin River Event Center on Friday, March 10th, and RI Blogger was kindly invited to cover the show.

The Band opened with “When We Were Young”, from the long-awaited album of new material titled “The Future Is What It Used To Be” released in 2018. Next up was a stroll down memory lane with back-to-back “Clap for The Wolfman”, “Undun” and “No Sugar Tonight” performed with pure energy, brilliant vocals and flawless musicianship.

Since the debut of The Guess Who in the 60’s, the band has had many personnel changes throughout the decades. The current lineup of The Guess Who includes founding member from day one, Garry Peterson on drums, Derek Sharp on guitar, piano & lead vocals, Leonard Shaw on keys, sax, flute & vocals, Michael Staertow on guitars & vocals and Michael Devin on bass & vocals.

The Guess Who, made up of the above mentioned multi-talented musicians’ delvers a played from the heart powerful rendition of the band’s time-tested classics within a modern-day live show format. And make no mistake, The Guess Who is a relevant band today; writing, recording, and releasing new material.  In fact, later this year the band will release their newest album “Plein D’Amour”.

The enthusiastic audience was standing and dancing in the isles during just about every number. The band closed the traditional set with the 1970’s mega hit American Woman (as a teaser goodnight) that rocked the house followed by a three-song encore of In America, These Eyes, and No Time.

In short, The Guess Who delivered above and beyond! To stay in touch with the band’s tour dates and new releases visit the band’s website @ www.theguesswho.com and Facebook page www.facebook.com/theguesswho/
