Have You Heard of Acro Yoga?

She has been a part of the R.I. holistic community teaching yoga classes and specialty workshops for 10 years. Sarah has also been offering Thai Yoga Massage and Reiki. She has done a lot of Acro Yoga Workshops throughout the years and incorporates the Therapeutic side in some of her Thai Yoga Massages. Aside from being super fun, it’s a great way to passively stretch the body in an inverted form for both the “Base” and “Flyer.” It’s also a great way for both partners to become one Be-ing, moving and transitioning as ONE unit.

“Have you ever “flown” as a child? Where maybe your sibling or parent put you up and flew you like an airplane. Or maybe you’ve just seen this done before. Yeah, it’s actually a THING! It’s called Acro Yoga. I’ve been teaching more of fundamentals partners yoga/ fly (acro) class for those that want to dabble in both. As of lately, I have been teaching Fly to a bunch of rock climbers in the Peacedale area. Because rock climbing is such a partner based sport I thought Fly would be the perfect thing for them to incorporate. Not only are they getting the stretch and inversion but they are also building trust and connecting a lot deeper with their partner.   I’m starting to incorporate now a “Looking to Fly Jam” where those that are new can learn the fundamentals but for those that have already started can learn further transitions and postures.” -Sarah Daigle
