LEARN ABOUT GLORIDAYS 2017 AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE ONE STEP AT A TIME
The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation invites the public to take the first step by joining us March 2 at the Radisson Hotel Providence Airport, located at 2081 Post Road, Warwick, RI from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm for a free “GloriNight.”
GloriNight will be a preview of GloriDays 2017, Gloria Gemma’s weekend journey where participants walk 44 miles over three days or 24 miles over 2 days. This is the third GloriDays, taking place June 2 – 4. For the first time, the 2017 walk will be based at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick, RI. Walkers will journey from Goddard State Park through East Greenwich, Warwick and North Kingstown over the course of the multi-day walk.
The FREE GloriNight event March 2 will include food, door prizes for attendees, a cash bar and a chance to meet with past walkers, volunteers, and crew members. Event attendees will be able to register for GloriDays 2017 at a discounted rate.
This event will highlight what is new for GloriDays 2017, what to expect throughout the weekend, and how participants and volunteers can get involved. Questions will be answered by Gloria Gemma’s staff and past participants.
Director of Fundraising, Lynn Simon, states, “We are really trying to give our participants, especially potential participants, the experience of being at GloriDays. They will be able to get real advice from GloriDays walkers and hopefully leave more prepared and excited than when they came in.”
The event supports Gloria Gemma in their mission to provide education and wellness programs for those touched by breast cancer in our local community. https://secure.qgiv.com/event/gloridays/
