Pump up your tires and get ready for the Second Annual FREE Portsmouth Farm-to-Farm Bike Ride on Saturday, May 11th!!!
Lovely Middle Road, lined with six family farms, will be CAR FREE so families, friends, and neighbors can enjoy the experience of riding together. On May 11th, from 10am until 1pm, Middle Road will be closed to car traffic for the Farm-to-Farm Bike Ride – a short and delightful 4 mile ride for people of all ages and biking or walking abilities. Please join us!!!
Parking will be available behind the School Administration Building at 29 Middle Road. Registration and start will be located behind Escobar’s Farmhouse Inn at 133 Middle Road. The ride runs for two miles down Middle Road, with a turn-around point at Benjamin Drive (about 897 Middle Rd). Along the way, riders and walkers will pass six Portsmouth family farms: Escobar farms, DeArruda Farm, Quonset View Farm, Portsmouth Nursery, BAW Farm, and DeCastro Farms. Bike Newport, RI staff and volunteers will be on hand at the start to assist with bike checks and helmet fittings, and along the route to offer assistance.
Food will be available for purchase near the registration area starting at 11am. Food vendors include:

In addition to the bike ride, Clean Ocean Access will be running a roadside cleanup for the duration of the event, so sign up to get your cleaning gear to help keep Middle Road beautiful for all to enjoy!

Portable toilets will be available along the route at Quonset View Farm and Anne Benson Stables.
