Benefit Sarah Kilby, a 14 year old Cumberland resident battling a rare illness which has resulted in Leukemia.
This is our kick-off fundraiser for Sarah and we are pulling out all the stops: well-known local singer Steven Palumbo will be singing Christmas carols at noon to spread some holiday cheer to our shoppers. In 4 days, Sarah’s Gofundme page has brought in over $40,000.00 so this event most definitely has the support of the community. We have an “in” at a premier Boston advertising firm which will be designing the flyers sent home with students along with ads in The Bargain Buyer and The Valley Breeze 🙂 Sarah’s social media pages will also be featuring the event as well as at all the schools in Cumberland.
As a business owner, I understand the demands on time, the potential opportunity cost of product taken out of the store, and staff to operate a store and a pop-up store. With Sarah we have a fighter on our hands so we believe this could be a recurring event in Cumberland, as adopted by the PTO or other organization.
