Plum Point Bistro

With the weather warming up, local restaurants with good outdoor seating and fresh seafood is becoming a hot commodity. The Plum Point Bistro in Saunderstown, Narragansett, offers not only great outdoor dining, but also great Italian and French cuisine.

The atmosphere at the Plum Point Bistro is comfortable and understated, with a long bar and several padded booths. Plum Point has a great raw bar, serving littlenecks and cherrystone clams straight from Narragansett Bay, which is just a few streets over from the restaurant.

In addition to their raw bar, Plum Point Bistro also has a number of mouth-watering seafood dishes, from pan seared summer fluke to their corn-meal crusted, natively-caught cod. Or, if you’re not a fan of seafood, have their braised duck or pan fried, organic chicken cutlets. The Plum Point Bistro boasts friendly staff, and, in the summer, a comfortable breeze coming off of Narragansett Bay. The bistro can get crowded, so you may want to make reservations ahead of time. Even when it does get busy, however, the atmosphere remains sociable and cozy.

The Bistro’s chef, Peter Kielec, creates rich, satisfying dishes that use fresh, local ingredients. And if you’re not in the mood for a full meal, just stop in for a drink at their fully-stocked bar.

The Plum Point Bistro is located at 1814 Boston Neck Road in Saunderstown, right on Route 1A and just before the JamestownBridge. To learn more about the Bistro, or to take a look at their full menu, go to www.plumptbistro.com.
