All-New Monarch Butterfly Charm Bracelet Will Support The Roger Williams Park Zoo’s Environmental Programming
Roger Williams Park Zoo (RWPZ) is pleased to announce its third design collaboration with ALEX AND ANI. On Wednesday, April 11th, ALEX AND ANI will release its all-new Monarch Butterfly Charm Bracelet ($38) to support the Zoo’s increasing science and environmental education programs to school children throughout Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Twenty percent of each sale of the ALEX AND ANI Monarch Butterfly Bracelet will be donated to Roger Williams Park Zoo through the brand’s CHARITY BY DESIGN program. ALEX AND ANI CHARITY BY DESIGN has already contributed more than $1M to RWPZ since 2013 through 20% sales portion donations of its Monkey Charm Bracelet and Ode to the Owl Charm Bracelet. In addition to supporting education programs, this ongoing partnership has been instrumental in building the Zoo’s beloved ALEX AND ANI Farmyard which serves as a home to a variety of domestic farm animals including goats, sheep, alpacas, and chickens.
Environmental education and conservation are at the core of the work at Roger Williams Park Zoo. The Zoo is the recipient of numerous awards for conservation work done both locally and internationally. Locally, the Zoo is working to save the American Burying Beetle, New England Cottontail Rabbit, Karner Blue Butterfly, and Timber Rattlesnake. Efforts internationally include working with a variety of organizations to save the African elephants and preserve Rainforest amphibians.
As of April 11th, the Monarch Butterfly Charm Bracelet will be available on both the ALEX AND ANI and Roger Williams Park Zoo websites, in ALEX AND ANI retail stores across the country, and inside the Zoo gift shop.
The ALEX AND ANI CHARITY BY DESIGN collection was created in 2011 to spread the ALEX AND ANI ideal of sharing positive energy worldwide. The collection, which now includes the beautiful new Monarch Butterfly Charm Bracelet, ignites passion for the well-being of our planet, our communities, and our individual paths.
