It has plenty of things to do for tourists and yet caters to its residents who reside there through generations. The town used to be known as a mecca for trading rum and molasses. Now the town has undergone years of restoration to make it more modern while still keeping that low country appeal.

This zoo is full of animals you will only see at the larger ones, including monkeys that get to roam free in a jungle environment. For those not looking to spend a lot of money, they can enjoy the River Walk. Window shopping and sightseeing is a great family outing at the River Walk. Being close by the water and enjoying the sights and sounds Providence has to offer, should be done by everyone. Visiting Providence, Rhode Island is sure to please everyone.
