Your Weekend Docket…

 November 14th- November 16th….Weekend Fun!

Thanksgiving may seem like it’s looming, but we have two weekends between now and then. So here are some of the events taking place this upcoming weekend, from Friday, November 14^th to Sunday, November 16^th.

There are three upcoming games this weekend at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence. On Friday, the Providence Bruins will be playing the Springfield Falcons; on Saturday, the Friars will be playing Albany; and on Sunday, the Bruins will be playing the Portland Pirates. The Seventh Annual Artisan Fair is being held at North Smithfield Middle School, located at 1850 Providence Pike in North Smithfield, and will feature more than a hundred artisans and crafters from both Rhode Island and elsewhere. Learn more at www.nspto.org.

Peter and the Wolf will be performed at the FBP Black Box Theatre at 825 Hope Street in Providence. Performed by Festival Ballet Providence, this dance interpretation of the classic story is great for children. Tickets are $25 for adults, and $15 for children under twelve. On November the 15th, Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island will be hosting “Shop For a Cause.” This event is being held at the Church of Saint Mary’s, located at 538 Broadway in Providence, and will feature original gifts from local artisans and crafters. Learn more here.

And finally, on the 15th, the Newport Art Museum will be hosting a Christmas-themed, family-friendly murder mystery. Learn more about the Newport Murder Mysteries at www.newportmurdermystery.com, and the Newport Art Museum is located at 76 Bellevue Avenue in Newport.

And at 2:00 PM on Sunday, the Berklee World Strings will be performing at the Towers in Narragansett. Berklee World Strings consists of Berklee College of Music’s finest string orchestra. Learn more at www.thetowersri.com.
