Where to Get Local Corn in Rhode Island
Corn is America’s biggest crop. There are close to half a million corn farms in the country but, in large part, it’s going towards high fructose corn syrup, and isn’t particularly tasty. If you want fresh, delicious corn, you’ll
need to get it from somewhere local. Luckily, there are plenty of farms around the state that are more than happy to oblige.

There’s Pezza Farm in Johnston, which not only offers fantastic corn, among other produce, but is also a pleasure to visit. This forty acre farm also grows flowers and herbs, which makes the entire trip a peaceful, pleasant experience. Or there’s Stamp Farms in Cranston. This is a more specialized farm, and one of those specialties is corn. You can get a hold of Stamp Farms corn at their stand on Comstock Parkway in Cranston. There’s the PV Farm Stand in Scituate. Along with their renowned pork, beef, and boar meat, PV Farm Stand sells both corn and, if you’re looking to do some growing yourself, corn stalks. There’s Confreda Greenhouses & Farms in Scituate, a locally-owned farm with more than ninety years of history in the Ocean State.
