Roger Williams Park Zoo: Spring and Summer events

Roger Williams Park Zoo has always been a popular spot to visit, year in and year out. One of the reasons that the zoo remains so popular is that they’re always adding something new. Below are some of the events that Roger Williams Park Zoo will be holding over the next few months. April will feature seal feeding, and starting in May, you can feed one of the zoo’s giraffes.

Roger Williams will also be hosting a field trip to the Bronx Zoo on May 3^rd. The world-famous Bronx Zoo boasts 265 acres and more than six hundred different animal species. The $85 fee covers the round trip bus trip, as well as general admission and unlimited shuttle and monorail access.

In honor of Mother’s Day, moms—with a child’s ticket—will be admitted to the park for free on May 10^th and 11^th. There will be an ice cream sundae bar on Sunday, May 11^th, and kids can craft Mother’s Day gifts at the Picnic Pavilion from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

On May 17^th, the zoo will be hosting Scout Safari Day, an event being held for local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. In addition to activities around the zoo, this event is also an excellent opportunity to work towards badges.

On May 31^st, the zoo will be hosting a huge recycling and hazardous waste drop-off event. If you recycle at the zoo, you will receive a ticket good for free admission to the park.
