Winter Weather Ahead…

winter Well Rhode Islanders, here it comes again!  We should have known we were in for it after those noteworthy 50 degree days in December.  Seems like old Mother Nature has some making up to do since she was so mildly tempered early on.  Here is a round-up of the latest reports.   Looking at this storm, it seems that we can expect some flakes to start flying sometime after noon Saturday.  Most models that have been shown are suggesting that we could see 1-3 inches throughout Saturday with accumulations looking more like 3-5 inches overnight.  All the more reason to cuddle up this Valentine’s Day!  Sunday morning will bring the winds with occasional gusts of 50-60 MPH.  We could see an additional 3-5 inches on Sunday morning.  Blizzard conditions are possible for Sunday morning due to the winds and heavy snow causing visibility issues.  So sleep in and enjoy having a reason to get a slow start.  To the plowmen and women out there, thanks for your all your hard work!  It seems that our final totals will be about 6-10 inches…keeping the plows busy.  The temps will be frigid, as low as -22 by Monday so dress warm or stay fireside!  Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy this New England weather because summer is only 127 days away.  At that time we will be complaining about the excessive heat and humidity.  New Englanders, we love our seasons almost as much as we love to complain about them.
