WinterDash Takes its Final Bow After Four Years

WinterDash, BoldrDash Race’s wintertime obstacle course run, will hold its final event March 30 at Canonicus Camp and Conference Center.

After four seasons of adventure climbing and crawling through the ice, snow, and chilly weather, WinterDash leaves its “boldr” on the field to make way for new courses and events.

Past participants and first-timers can expect to enjoy several new obstacles throughout the 5K course wooded trail run. Wave times begin at 9 a.m. and registration is open now.

There will also be the Kids and Family Waves for ages 3+ that includes a 1-1.5-mile shortened course.

In addition to the course itself, there will also be a raffle raising funds for Find Your Bold, a Rhode Island non-profit organization. Founded by BoldrDash President Lynn Hall in 2015, Find Your Bold encourages personal growth in a supportive environment through physical activity. 100 percent of the proceeds from the on-site raffle will be donated directly to the organization. all

Can’t make the event date? This year there is a virtual run option for just $15. Anyone can walk or run a 5K BEFORE WinterDash in BoldrDash style carrying a boulder in hand. Snap a photo and send it to reg@boldrdashrace.com to receive a t-shirt and medal.

The departure of the WinterDash event is just the beginning of the changes for the BoldrDash community.

“We scout new locations, build new partnerships and design new obstacles every year for You,” Hall addressed the BoldrDash Facebook followers. “Keeping things fresh and new is what You deserve and your continued support and attendance makes it clear to us that we are doing it right.”

Following WinterDash, DoggieDash returns this October following its blaring success last year. Dog lovers across New England vocalized their love for a BoldrDash course they could enjoy with their furry friends.

New in 2019 are The Amazing Wish Race and the BoldrDash Short Course.

Making its debut with 1 to 1.5 miles of obstacle packed adventure, the BoldrDash Short Course makes a perfect backdrop for lasting memories and selfies. At the Amazing Wish Race, BoldrDash and Find Your Bold will partner with non-profit Children’s Wishes to allow participants to use teamwork to travel through 4-6 adventure locations in and around the Washington County area.
