Providence Kayak Co., Inc. Opens Second Location at Lincoln Woods State Park

Now in their fifth season along the shores of Providence, the Providence Kayak Company is pleased to announce that they have launched a second location at the Boathouse inside Lincoln Woods State Park, in Lincoln, RI. With the addition of twenty-five single and tandem sit-on-top Ocean Kayaks to their fleet, Providence Kayak has the ability to provide their patrons with a surplus of options to relish in a memorable experience across 128 acres of Olney Pond, one of Blackstone Valley’s greatest treasures!
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the State of Rhode Island and the Department of Environmental Management to expand our operations into Lincoln Woods,” said Kristin McGinn, co-owner of Providence Kayak. “Making our waterways accessible to all and enabling folks to experience watersports here in the Ocean State is our number one goal. This additional location allows us to do that for folks who may desire a more rural setting just outside of downtown Providence.”
In addition to walk-up rentals, Providence Kayak offers reservations on providencekayak.com for those who wish to secure a specific date and time in advance. Rentals at Lincoln Woods are offered 7 days/week through Labor Day, from 11am-5pm on weekdays, and 10am-5pm on weekends. Single and tandem kayaks are available in either 45-minute or 90-minute time slots.
About Providence Kayak: Co-owners Kristin & Tom McGinn of the Providence River Boat Co. and Matthew “Marcello” Haynes of LaGondola Providence formed a partnership and established Providence Kayak in the spring of 2017. With a combined forty-eight years of experience navigating the beautiful waters of Rhode Island, they were confident that they could offer quality watersport rentals in an otherwise untapped urban setting. Their extensive, first-hand knowledge of marine operations, marketing and customer service has proven to be invaluable in successfully managing and growing the business over the last four years. In addition to rentals, they also offer Guided Tours of the Providence waterways at their Providence location. Visit Providence Kayak at the Providence Marina at 15 Bridge Street, Providence, RI or at the Boathouse at Lincoln Woods State Park, Lincoln, RI from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
