Taste of East Greenwich…August 14
East Greenwich is right in the heart of Rhode Island. In the center of the state you can find some amazing food
that is often overshadowed by the lure of Providence and Newport. If you want to see what East Greenwich food has to offer, check out the Taste of East Greenwich stroll this August.
Starting around 5:00, the Taste of Greenwich stroll will be held all along Main Street. From there, you can check out all of the great tastes of Main Street, like Rasa, a hidden gem if there ever was one. Rasa serves authentic Indian food, including a lamb curry that can’t be missed.
If you’re looking for a treat—or a hot cup of coffee—check out the Silver Spoon Bakery. Try just a bit of their half chocolate, half coffee caffeinated Ghirardelli cake and you’ll be hooked. Or, you could try one of their champagne-frosted cupcakes if you’re in the mood to celebrate.
For something classy, drop in at Besos Kitchen and Cocktails. From 5:30 to 9:00 PM, there will be live outdoor music, weather permitting. Try one of their signature cocktails, or a glass—or a bottle—of one of their fine wines. Or, if you’re hungry, try their amazing seafood selection.
Speaking of seafood, there’s also the Greenwich Bay Oyster Bar, which offers oysters, little-necks, shrimp, stuffies, and much more.
The Taste of East Greenwich Stroll will be held on Thursday, August 14th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
