Hello three day weekend, you are going to be incredible!  Here are some weekend events you do not want to miss…use the extra 24 hours to have more fun!

Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is now OPEN!   This year will be another work of illuminated pumpkin art!

Value Nights (Mon. – Thurs.): $15 adults; $12 children (ages 2-12) – Sold at Zoo Admissions and Online. Enter any time between 5:30 and 10pm – the trail closes at 11pm.

Prime Nights (Fri. – Sun.): $18 adults; $15 children (ages 2-12) – Sold Online Only
Timed Entry tickets are non-refundable, and cannot be rescheduled. 

Toddlers age one and younger are always admitted for free.

RISD Craft is a “one-day juried sales exhibition that draws crowds of art lovers to Providence’s Benefit Street each fall, runs from 10 am to 5 pm this Saturday, October 8.”

Scituate Arts Festival draws art and craft lovers from all over.  This festival is “an annual Rhode Island tradition over the Columbus Day weekend. Scituate is a picturesque New England village nestled in the northwest corner of Rhode Island. Visitors stroll the beautiful Village Green, taking in some of the most unique varieties of art, craft, sculpture and antiques. Autumn provides the backdrop for this wonderful festival, bestowing crisp air and colorful foliage to energize the body and the spirit.”

Columbus Day Festival on Federal Hill is another weekend long event full of great food, live music and much more! “Federal Hill is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Columbus Day Festival! The Federal Hill Commerce Association (FHCA) will be hosting its Annual Columbus Day Weekend Festival starting on Saturday, October 8th at 10am and ending on Monday, October 10th at 8pm.”

Sip, Shuck & Swing is just as awesome as it sounds!  Sons of Liberty Distillery will be offering an evening of jazz, oysters and cocktails from 5-9 pm at the distillery!

Broadway Street Fair will be held on October 8th and will offer:

Music, Comics & Improv from 12:30 – 5:30 on 4 stages throughout the street, including a Family Stage for the kids!
Vendors from 12 – 6pm, including everything from candy to wind chimes to jewelry!
Kid friendly activities from noon – 5:30 include the Mad Hatter Tea Party, painting station, bounce house, paint-a-pumpkin and more!
Food vendors available from 12 – 6 and Broadway restaurants are open all day!

Norey’s Newport will also be featuring some German beer specials, so stop in and have a cold one…you will be glad you did!
