What is Brewing at Whalers Brewing Company

There’s been an explosion in the local brewing scene over the past decade or two. Rhode Island has plenty of new local breweries, from Providence to Kingstown. If you’re in Kingstown, and you’re near City Hall, you’re within a stone’s throw of one of Rhode Island’s most promising breweries: Whalers Brewing Company.

Founded by three South Kingstown locals, the Whalers Brewing Company serves up a number of choice beers. Try their Hazelnut Cream Stout, a mild stout touched with chocolate malt and roasted barley, with freshly-brewed coffee added to the drink before the beer is kegged. Or you could try their American Strong Ale, a strong, malty beer with a high alcohol content and a bold taste.

You could also try their Ginger Wheat Beer, brewed with orange peel, coriander, and shredded ginger. This wheat beer is light, delicious, and is sure to hold your attention. Or there’s the Whalers’ White Indian Pale Ale, a golden, Belgian-style beer made with Amarillo hops.
