Castle Hill Inn Summer Events!
The Castle Hill Inn has overlooked Newport Bay for the last 140 years, even longer than the nearby Castle Hill Lighthouse. The Inn is a beautiful building, which may explain why it will play host to many different events over the course of the year.
On July 29th and August 12th—all Tuesdays—Castle Hill Inn will be hosting an old fashioned clambake. Out on the bluffs overlooking Newport Bay the Castle Hill Inn has constructed a clambake pit and, for three days this summer, they’ll be putting it to very good use. A combination of freshly-baked clams, cocktails, and lawn games promise a calming evening on the Bay.
On Tuesday, August 5th, they will be hosting the Farm Fresh Local Food Fest, an annual, limited-admittance event that brings in food from local farms, fish from local fishing companies, and chefs from local fine dining establishments. What you’re left with is an evening of the finest Rhode Island has to offer.
Although it is available through reservation only, the Hinckley Yacht can give you a fantastic tour of the waters around Castle Hill. There are quite a few waterfront attractions in Rhode Island, and you can visit them with Castle Hill Inn’s yacht. You can even skip the ferry and take it out to Block Island if you like.
To learn more about the Castle Hill Inn, or to make reservations, visit their website at www.castlehillinn.com, or call them at (888) 466-1355. The Castle Hill Inn is located at 590 Ocean Drive on the western point of Newport, overlooking Castle Hill Cove and the Newport bay.
