Brewers have been brewing in Rhode Island since long before it was ever a state, and they’re unlikely to stop any time soon. Sons of Liberty out of South Kingstown continues that tradition with a rich selection of whiskeys and vodkas.

This fall, the Sons of Liberty are serving up their famous pumpkin spice whiskey. Even if it wasn’t seasonally appropriate, it would still be a rich liquor with two bites: one from the alcohol, and one from the spiced concoction of clove, allspice, cinnamon, vanilla, and orange. Using a full two tons of Rhode Island pumpkins, their pumpkin spice whiskey is a rare treat on a cold night. It’s also won multiple awards, including the World Whiskey’s Award for best flavored drink.

PUMPKIN CIDER MARTINI

• 3 oz Pumpkin Spice Whiskey
• 2 oz Fresh Apple Cider
• Crushed Ice

• Shake all ingredients vigorously in cocktail shaker to chill

 

• Pour into chilled martini glass (rim glass with cinnamon sugar)
• Add maple syrup for a sweeter drink
